Project Bloom Final
I’m super proud to have worked on this project. As we wrap the project up I am reflecting on how much I’ve learned on this project. Working in a simulated production environment forced me to iterate my work based on feedback in quick turnarounds. This really taught me a lot about working quickly in a group and managing multiple project elements with in a tight time frame. My eye for Look Development improved a lot thanks to feedback from the mentors. Iterating through multiple passes of shaders and developing a material quilt using a Look Development rig allowed me to achieve the material look of the project in the pre production stage. My lighting rig went through a lot of different changes as I worked with the mentors. Listening to feedback and delivering quickly became vital to my lighting workflows, using Houdini and Redshift allowed me to render changes quickly to produce quick and quality results. My understanding of rendering and render engines, especially Redshift, has really improved when it comes to troubleshooting and optimizing render issues.
