I was privileged enough to work as a compositor for the Get Real project here at SCAD this summer. Get Real was a demo short film filmed on the new XR stage at SCAD. I was tasked with cleaning up footage shoot on the volume, even on a virtual set, things are bound to go wrong. One of the main scenes I was responsible for was a boom pole reflection clean up, in the goggles of one of the actors for multiple shots.
This was a fairly standard paint out for me, but it was important for me to pay attention to the transparency of the goggles and making sure my roto paint reflected both the interior and exterior elements of the shot.
