I am currently working on R&D for the cg beach scene of our project, this week I began learning the process for flip tank creation and the workflow of ocean flip.

My goal for this week was to gain a better understanding of ocean flip. Due to the lack of free resources on this topic I am mostly going off of the sideFX documentation.

Currently I have been focusing on the ocean shaping and exploring how different velocities affect the tank.

I am using an ocean spectrum and ocean source to create source waves for the flip.

Velocities are fed in to the sim via pop advect by volumes. Currently I am focused on having a better understanding of sink fields and particle sourcing before I attempt higher resolution simulation.
