This weekend I rented a Canon mkIII DSLR from the equipment checkout here at SCAD with the intention of shooting a live plate for this integration project. After wrapping a shoot for my group project for a different class, I went over to the tennis courts at Forsyth Park and captured some stills to work with. I really took time to focus on getting good exposure and familiarizing myself with the aspects of cameras, something I’ve been putting off for a long time.

I decided to use Houdini and Redshift for this project instead of the usual Maya and Arnold to understand lighting and rendering workflows in Houdini.
